LabraData Version 2.0 is online As a response to user feedback over the last two years, we are pleased to release LabraData 2.0. The basic functions of the database have not changed, but the look and feel are all new. We have listened to what the users (our clients) have to say and made the system more "user friendly" in many ways. What's next?We have several new features planned for the future. The first is an overwhelming favorite with our users who have asked repeatedly for a "clickable" pedigree. This means that each name in the pedigree would be a link to that dog's full record. Several other online pedigree services use this feature, but it is a more difficult addition for a full-featured database. Many people use a linked LabraData pedigree on their personal website - which complicates the browse features that a clickable pedigree has to provide. We are working on a solution to these "behind the scenes" details and plan to have this feature available in the near future. Of course, like all improvements, we need the funding to implement it and will rely on donations from the users to add this feature. Be watching for the "Pedigree Fund" announcement so you can donate to this new feature. The major addition planned for next year is a "Relatives" button for the dog display. It will provide an "OFA-style" display of parents, offspring, siblings and half-siblings.This list will have a few basic fields of information about each dog and a link to the dog's full display. We would appreciate YOUR input on what fields you consider most important on the listing. We can select from most of the information fields stored in the dog record, but the width of the screen frame will limit us to a small number of columns. Tell us what you want to see the most and watch for the "Relatives Fund" announcement to donate toward implementing this new feature as well.
